Feature Film directed by Kaspar Munk, produced by Good Company Films (DK 2018)
Based on the bestselling books by Lene Kaaberbøl, this is a coming of age film about a young girl finding her place as a witch in deep connection with nature.
Director Kaspar Munk, DOP Adam Wallensten and production designer Sabine Hviid went to the beautiful Hungarian mountains to find the magical locations.
Simon Sandin from TGB VFX supervised and spend weeks on location to capture data for the post process. We did CG fire lizards, magical wild ways and ice locations and integrated wild animals in the action plates.
On set I organised plate shoots with cats, owls and ravens.
With a total of 294 VFX shots this was one of the bigger Scandinavian VFX films of the year earning the team a nomination for best Visual Effects at the Danish academy awards.
